The average width of most men’s watch bands is between 18 and 24 millimeters (with case diameters generally being between 38 and 46 millimeters). As some watch bands taper off at the ends, the width should be measured between
Some people will say “it’s too big, I’ll get the smaller FOiS.”. The fun part is, that the FOiS won’t cause the watch to have the tips of the lugs further from the edge of the wrist. That’s because the straight lug cases, both vintage, and modern ones, have the same lug-to-lug distance of 48 mm. Omega Speedmaster Pro on a 19 cm (7.5
The Datejust II (which was also 41mm) satisfied the hunger for larger watches when it was launched in 2009, but it had slightly different proportions, and Rolex eventually decided to replace it with the Datejust 41 in 2016. Today, the 41mm Datejust is one of the most beloved sizes for men due to its classic looks but modern sizing and feel.
I have small wrists myself and generally prefer the 36-38 size. As already noted, design will affect the look. I feel that 42mm with mostly dial showing is a little too big for me yet I tried on a 45mm watch recently that actually looked fine due to the design. Basically YMMV.
The size of both men's and women's watches have steadily grown over the years. While the average size of a man's watch during the 1950s was around 33mm to 35mm, most modern men's Rolex watches have case diameters that range between 36mm and 42mm. With that in mind, there are certain Rolex watches for men, both modern and vintage, that feature
It would be nice if the caseback was more interesting or see-through but that's not a deal breaker. It's a nice size and looks good on my 7.5in wrist. If you have a smaller wrist it may feel a bit too big, and an Orient mako may be a better option for you. The band:
Didn’t realize my wrists were considered big. I had a 42mm S3. That’s a “big” watch. They have big bands, as I’ve learned today. I assumed a 41 mm Watch was a ever so slightly smaller updated model of my previous watch. I’ve learned today, it’s the “for small people” model. I didn’t know how big my wrist was.
Yes. If a watch is too big, then it is physically too big, that's the fact. I have seen so many posts asking if the AW ultra is too big and apparently it was too big for them, but people will still say "as long as you love it, it's not big". Nah, love it or not doesn't change the fact that the watch looks ridiculous on their wrist.
No, a 40mm watch is not too big for a woman. In fact, watches with 40mm cases are generally considered to be an ideal size for women. The 41mm Apple Watch Series 7 is designed to fit wrists
After struggling for a while figuring out which size to buy i eventually went for S/M. My wrist size it 178mm and I measured as size 9 for the solo loop measurement. This is how the band looks on my arm with a 45mm watch. I am happy with the fit. I think M/L would have been too long.
41mm may fit, if you have a flat 6" wrist.. I have a flat 7" wrist and my watches vary from 38.5mm to 45.5mm: 38.5mm: 42mm: 43mm: 45.5mm: I suggest you try it on, and then decide whether it's too big or not [emoji6] Rolex Explorer 214270. Tudor Black Bay 58 Blue 79030B.
At walmart online the 41mm is $349, but I ended up paying about $340-345 after using my credit card (cash back) The 51mm costs about $425. None look bad. I’d pick 45mm, but if you’re leaning towards 41, it’s not a bad choice. 41 looks classy. I would go 41. 45 looks like its lifting off your wrist on the ends.
